You or your visitors complain that when you click on the submit button on a form (feedback, guest book, discussion, search, etc.) you receive a message about "Repost Form Data." There is a bug in some browsers that cause it to mishandle the HTML meta tag which specifies the character set (content type) of the page. To get around this error in FrontPage 1.1 and 97 (see 98 note below), you have to edit the page in a text editor (don't use FrontPage Editor) to remove the following HTML meta tag:
Please note this code is hard coded into FrontPage 1.x and 97. If you edit the page in FrontPage Editor after you remove the tag, FrontPage will put the tag back in. FrontPage 98 allows you to turn off the generation of this tag either globally or per page. To turn off the tag globally, take the following steps:
Please note that I've not checked whether or not this updates existing pages in terms of removing tags already present. If you have time, take this steps, recalculate your hyperlinks, and let me know the results (I'll pass them on). To turn off the tag for a given page, take these steps:
