Many people have complained they cannot view their pages locally against the Personal Web Server using Internet Explorer 3.xx.   (For Internet Explorer 4.xx, see below).

Take the following steps, then try again if this is happening to you:

In Internet Explorer 3.xx:

  1. Click on View
  2. Click on Options
  3. Click on Connection
  4. Uncheck "Connect to Internet as Needed"
  5. Click on Ok.

Exit out of Internet Explorer, and then come back in and try to view your pages locally.

In Internet Explorer 4.xx:

  1. Click on View
  2. Click on Internet Options.
  3. Click on Connection.
  4. Select Connect to the Internet using a local area network.
  5. Click on Ok.

Exit out of Internet Explorer, and then come back in and try to view your pages locally.
