Testing Search, Forms, Discussion, Etc. does not work locallyOne of the common things users do when testing forms, search, discussion or any other interactive component is to browse the file instead of browsing against the personal web server. All of the interactive components require a web server with extensions in order to function (see Web Bot Notes for a list). When you browse the file you are bypassing both the server and the extensions. You need to use the http address for the page or pages you are testing. If you don't know the http address, then open the web in FrontPage Explorer (no disk location, just web name), then edit the page in question, and do a file preview; not the URL (address) for future reference. |
